Claire Collins is the founder of Violet May Ltd. Claires business background lies in fast growth, high-tech manufacturing and digital consultancy.
Perpetually frustrated by the lack of stylish, business accessories aimed at women, Claire decided to set up her own business. Combining her knowledge of the digital world with her love of Spain, Claire and her team set about designing the ultimate luxury laptop bag and laptop sleeve collection whilst simultaneously creating this online boutique to appeal to the worldwide luxury goods audience. A Spanish atelier with over 100 years of experience in the leather goods manufacturing industry was found and the Violet May dream became a reality.
As a woman in business, Claire knows how difficult it can be and values the networking and mentoring that fellow businesswomen have provided. Keen to encourage new female talent, Claire has set up the Violet May Creative Seed Fund to support female entrepreneurs starting creative businesses.
